More Language Support Options

Spoken Word to Written Text

1.
Download the Google Translate app for free and open it.

 
2. To translate spoken language set your starting language(ex. English) and set your preferred language (ex. Spanish, Chinese, Urdu etc. ). 

    

3. To listen to a continuous spoken conversation, Select Transcribe and Got It in the bottom right corner. If you do not see that on your version, click the blue microphone in middle of the bottom section and then hit Transcribe when it pops up. When the microphone is blue it will translate the spoken starting language into the written language of your choice!

Translating Documents and Written Text With Your Camera

4. To use the camera on your phone to translate documents and written text, download the app (step 1 above), select your language of choice (step 2 above), and click on camera in the bottom right.



5. Once the camera is open, hold your phone up to the document or written text you want to translate and watch it replace the words in your language.
