STEM Academy is a three-week, summer academic program designed to prepare students for college. The program is open to deaf and hard of hearing students in the metro NYC area who will be entering 11th or 12th grade in the fall of 2024. STEM Academy: NYC is free for eligible students - residence, meals, and transportation are provided for the duration of the program.
The academic structure is an immersive and intensive student-centered learning model with a language-rich environment. Students with all language experiences and communication modalities are welcome. ASL and English Interpreters will be provide. Students who successfully complete STEM Academy are given an iPad.
